Small Two of Pieces

Traveling on a train to San Diego right now, all I can say is this small trip has, like most endeavors I partake that involve other people, renewed my already sufficient hate in mankind. Fortunately, they offer nothing more than an inconvenience, like most people that I tend to meet these days.

I've already ordered and confirmed my plane ticket and temporary hotel for my apartment, as well as confirmation that my signed lease and rent has been delivered to my landlord. Guess that means that I'm pretty much done here. I believe I've taken care of things from the financial end, and that, coupled with the always persistent and much appreciated aid from my mom means that I should be able ot survive in Washington DC at least for this first year of the law school journey.

I never got a chance to discuss what happened when I went to DC last time. From a housing conference perspective, it was pretty laid back. alas, I was tired for most of the trip, most likely due to the fact that I quite adjust to the time change; rather I just shrug and continue to live as usual, oblivious to the changes in sleep pattern or hours. The law school was quite amazing, a giant nice-looking building in the heart of one of the more 'swanky' parts of Washington DC. The house that I'm going to live in is a huge group house that is a little more than a few blocks away, making for a nice walk to and fro every day. The associate dean that was there was nice as always, and the bus tour allowed me a glimpse as to the sheer variety of this area. I even got to see the white house off in the distance.

Things are always interesting in my life. There's always something new to do or to go, some new area of my life that must be more fully explored. The short of all this is that I hope that there is never a time when this stops so I can continue learning for the rest of my life about myself and the things that i care about.

Also my PSP just died. I really hate the fact that it can't last more than a short car ride before needing a recharge. Guess I'll just play my DS Lite, the system that I have been playing insanely for awhile (besides my 360, which now looks infinitely better ever since I got my HD tv, more on that later)
