Raging Fan

Bradley's Suspension for yesterday's rage-ness.

Now, I'm not saying that the dude probably didn't deserve a suspension, because he did get pretty pissed at what happened. But my question now is, what the fuck is going to happen to the fan? Does he get a fine or some shit because he threw a bottle at a player while the game was in progress? Shouldn't he get banned from the stadium or some bull shit for doing the fucking thing that started it all? Maybe its beacuse I'm a pretty wrathful guy, but if I was playing an important game in my career as a professional athlete and some fucker threw something at me during the game, I would kick his ass. This isn't about sports any more, or money or any thing. Its about some stupid asshole that chose to disrespect me, and I'm not going to take it. Bradley was defending himself, and because of that he was suspending for five fucking games. That's total bullshit, in my opinion.

It doesn't stop there, either. What about all the other fans that throw worse shit on the field or try to pelt players with beers or whatever during other sports. Buying a ticket doesn't give you a free pass to do whatever the fuck you want to the players; they're human beings too. Getting thrown out isn't enough of a punishment, either. They should be banned or fined or something like that for pulling such stupid stunts. Its not right, and I don't support it.

My rant.

  • The appropriate response is to charge the offending fan with assault, but the clubs and MLB are unwilling to do that because it will "tarnish their image" and perhaps alienate fans. However, the reality is that if enough action was taken against abusive fans, the stadium would begin to be fuller - filled with civilized, family-oriented fans who are there to enjoy the game and root for their team.
